REPCORE® BANKING 2026 ECUADOR PRESENTATION
Reputation Lab presented the key findings of RepCore® Banking 2026 for Ecuador in Quito at an event organized in partnership with Comunicandes at the Ecuadorian-British Chamber of Commerce.
The analysis, conducted by Reputation Lab across 19 countries, confirms that the reputation of Ecuador’s banking sector is currently built on factors related to security, financial inclusion, and contributions to economic and social development.
One of the most significant findings of the analysis is that operational security—particularly the ability to protect customers and prevent fraud—is currently the primary driver of reputation for the banking sector in Ecuador.

Alongside this, attributes such as national presence, equal treatment/non-discrimination, support for entrepreneurship, and investment in society reflect a growing expectation for banking that is accessible, useful, and has a visible impact on the country’s development.
The analysis also highlights the importance of offering reliable and secure experiences in an increasingly digitalized environment.
Furthermore, the results reaffirm a key idea: reputation is not an abstract asset, but a direct predictor of supportive behaviors such as recommendations, the purchase of products and services, or the generation of trust in adverse situations.
We would like to extend special thanks to Paola Vallejo, director of Comunicandes and ambassador for Corporate Excellence – Centre for Reputation Leadership in Ecuador, as well as to the Ecuadorian-British Chamber of Commerce, for fostering this space for reflection on reputation and the financial sector in Ecuador.
